Nancy Carey earned her B.S., with High Honors in Accountancy, in 1989 from the University of Illinois. She passed the Certified Public Accountancy exam in 1989. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, in 1992 from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif, was a Harno Scholar, and was a Notes and Comments Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. Nancy's legal experience includes practicing at Winston & Strawn LLP, where she was a partner in the firm's Litigation Department. Nancy also was a member of Winston & Strawn's Summer Committee, which has responsibility for the firm's Summer Associate Program. She has spoken about career issues for the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association. Nancy is a former member of The Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a non-profit organization of young professionals dedicated to raising funds for Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
